American Energy Dominance Caucus Hosts Two Briefings on Energy Financing and Domestic Solar Production
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The American Energy Dominance Caucus, co-chaired by Representatives Chuck Fleischmann (TN-03) and Marc Veasey (TX-33), hosted two briefings in April and May focused on expanding American energy production, strengthening grid reliability, and accelerating the deployment of clean firm energy technologies.

The Caucus partnered with the Clean Energy Buyers Association (CEBA) and the Nuclear Innovation Alliance (NIA) for a morning briefing on the Department of Energy's Energy Dominance Financing Office (EDF). The session provided congressional staff and stakeholders with a practical overview of the EDF, formerly known as the Loan Programs Office, including how Title 17 authorities work, how projects are evaluated, and how EDF's loan authority can accelerate the deployment of new nuclear energy and other clean firm technologies. The briefing also explored how predictable program execution supports American competitiveness and private capital formation.
Speed, Scale, and Security: A Practical Conversation on Solar and Grid Reliability
May 7, 2025 | 12:00 – 1:00 PM | Rayburn House Office Building, Room 2168
The Caucus hosted a briefing alongside Securing America's Future Energy (SAFE) focused on domestic solar production and its role in the broader American energy system. As solar energy becomes increasingly relevant to conversations surrounding American manufacturing, grid security, artificial intelligence, and long-term economic growth, the briefing offered a practical discussion on where solar strengthens energy security and where legitimate challenges remain.
